X5 Retail Group still plans to launch 2,500 stores in 2018

MOSCOW, Aug 14 (PRIME) -- Russian retailer X5 Retail Group still plans to launch about 2,500 stores in 2018, CEO Igor Shekhterman sid in a conference call on Tuesday.

“We confirm the forecast for store launches this year that we’ve announced before. We plan to launch about 2,500 stores of all formats,” he said.

X5 Retail Group opened 2,934 stores in 2017, and launched 1,057 stores in January–June 2018. As of the end of June 2018, the company operated 13,178 stores, including 12,134 Pyaterochka stores, 691 Perekrestok supermarkets, and 93 Karusel hypermarkets.
